Breath Of Fire II Gedd [Part 92]

Breath Of Fire II Gedd [Part 92]

Gedd can be found in a mountain called "Mt.Maori."  Mt.Maori is located on a lone island (about the same size as the island Tunlan is located on) northeast of Tunlan.  If you're having trouble finding it, warp to HomeTown, and it's just a tad north of it.  Make sure you bring at least one female with you--Nina, Katt, or a Seso-bonded Spar (Sprite).  A normal Spar doesn't count as a female.

Once inside, enter the cave opening.  You should see some clear water you can drink from to regain your HP and AP.  Take this opportunity and bring your weakest characters--which, are probably Spar, Nina, and Bow--and build up a couple levels for them so that their levels are within a respectable range of some of your more powerful characters.  To make the battles a whole lot easier, just have Ryu cast his dragon power, and then keep restoring your AP from theclear water after every battle.

Once you're through with that, enter the next room.  Approach the old man standing in the middle of the room and he'll say that he'll only talk to "pretty girls."  This old man is actually Gedd--the old man you've been looking for.  To get Gedd to talk some more, you have to have a female character in the lead of the marching order and then talk to him, or else he'll just continue to say the same thing repeatedly.

You explain to Gedd that you need his help to save the queen of Tunlan (although he says "princess," it may be an error on the game's part).  Gedd first backs off, and remembers that he got fired by the queen.  However, Gedd decides to help the queen only if one of your female members kisses him.  If you brought Katt, she'll just pound Gedd with her stick until it hurts.  If you brought Nina, she'll blush and Gedd will feel guilty for asking for a kiss.  Gedd now joins your party, but technically, he can't fight with you or show himself while he walks with you.  Head back to Tunlan.

Enter the queen's room inside the castle.  As you enter her room, "Granny" will begin to worry about the queen dearly.  Gedd and Granny begin to bicker a little, and decide to call a truce for the queen's sake.  Gedd examines the queen and realizes that she could be changing into a demon.  Gedd asks for your help, and gives you a "Letter" to give to one of his assistants back at Mt.Maori.  He needs special "equipment" which can only be found there.  The equipment he needs is listed in the letter.

Before heading back to Mt.Maori, make sure you switch up your party members at the nearest dragon shrine.  You must bring Sten with you for this trip because you'll need his long arms to help you climb the mountain.

Breath Of Fire II To Tunlan to Cure a Queen [Part 91]

Breath Of Fire II To Tunlan to Cure a Queen [Part 91]

Next stop:  Tunlan.  Look at the map by pressing the SELECT BUTTON on the Controller, and see if you can spot where Tunlan is, in case you can't find it.  Alternatively, you can always put Jean in the party and have him warp there for you.

Now that you have the Famous Flute, talk with all the residents.  You'll understand that the queen is quite sick, but most of the people don't have much sympathy for her since she's so mean.  Check inside the castle and go to the top floor.  Talk to the two Tunlan residents standing next to the queen, and they'll tell you about someone named "Old Man Gedd."  It seems like this "Gedd" person is the only one who can save the queen.  The problem is, that the queen banished Gedd for being so cruel to women, and sent him to a small island.  Your goal, now, is to find Gedd so he can help you save the queen.

Before heading off, check out the armory in town and buy some equipment for Spar and Bow.  They both probably have some outdated equipment by this point in the game.

Age Of Decadence

Age Of Decadence

The Age of Decadence, our first but hopefully not the last RPG, is now available. If you've been following it or playing it in Early Access, you know what to expect. If you've just discovered it, "stay awhile and listen". The most commonly asked question is:

What Kind of Game Is It?

It’s a very different game than anything you’ve ever played. I’m sure you’ve noticed that the RPG genre hasn’t really been explored yet and most RPGs follow the formula that didn’t change in 20 years. While there were always games that strayed off the beaten path – Darklands, Planescape: Torment, King of Dragon Pass – such games were the exceptions that only reinforced the rule.

The Age of Decadence is an experiment, an attempt to explore a different direction, taking you back to the PnP roots of the genre. It doesn’t mean that the game is awesome. In fact, there is a good chance that you won’t like it, precisely because we took too many liberties with the established design.

So What Sets The Age of Decadence Apart From Other Games?

1. The Setup

Traditionally, many fantasy RPGs are about killing things, clearing up dungeons, and being a hero. There is nothing wrong with mindless fun and wish fulfillment, but we want to offer you something different. To quote Tom Chick (Quarter to Three's game critic):

"But Age of Decadence wants nothing to do with kobolds, just as it wants nothing to do with Doo-dads of Unimaginable Power. The overarching idea is a crumbling society divided among three noble Houses, each fumbling around in its own version of darkness to comprehend what destroyed the world. That’s the central mystery. It plays out like noir in that you are the detective, piecing together what really happened from differing accounts, all vividly written with clear voices and efficient prose. And like a detective in a noir yarn, you can’t help but become part of the central mystery, effecting an outcome you might not have intended."

The Age of Decadence is not a game about killing monsters or exploring mystical lands, but rather, surviving amid the greed and brutality of your fellow humans and carving out a name for yourself. Good and bad are purely relative. It’s a world of scheming and backstabbing in which your words and actions have the potential to forge alliances and sow discord, and your path is never certain.

You get to play with seven different factions: three Noble Houses and four 'professional' guilds: merchants, assassins, thieves, and the army, all fighting for power or influence; over 100 named characters, over 750 ‘generic’ characters with unique IDs taking part in violent take-overs, assassinations, and power grabs, and over 600,000 words of dialogue: a well-developed and thought through world, believable characters, realistic motivations, but no elves, dwarves, magic, and wizards in fashionable, pointy hats.

2. Combat difficulty

Another design aspect worth mentioning is combat difficulty. It’s a hard game.

Combat difficulty is integrated into the setting. You can’t say that the world is harsh and unforgiving and then let the player kill everyone who looks at him or her funny. The game has to be hard, dying should be easy, and you should have reasons to pick your fights.

You aren’t a powerful hero who can defeat anyone and save the world and it is the difficulty that reinforces this notion. Make the game easier and we’re back to the powerful hero setup. So unless you’re a natural born killer, watch what you say and think before you act or you’ll end up dead before you can blink.

3. Choices & Consequences

Choices are what the game is all about - crafting your own narrative via a variety of choices that alter the story, playing field, and your options down the road. From multiple quest solutions to branching questlines you'll have plenty decisions to make and consequences of said decisions to deal with, which is what makes the game incredibly replayable.

Starting the game as a mercenary and joining the Imperial Guards will give a completely different experience, different quests, different content and points of view than, say, playing the game as a merchant (less buying low and selling high, more scheming and plotting to gain advantages for the guild), a praetor serving a Noble House, or an assassin.

Breath Of Fire II Famous Flute [Part 90]

Breath Of Fire II Famous Flute [Part 90]

After everyone tells you that Sten should be all right and well, the princess

finally gives you what you were after the whole time--the Famous Flute.  The

princess asks you to tell Sten, the next time you see him, not to overdo it

and to stay safe.  Trubo decides to escort you out of the castle.  (But you

still have to control your party and get out, yourself.)

Talk with Trubo as he's standing right in front of the exit of the room with

the dragon shrine.  He'll let you all go.  As you're just about to leave

Highfort, you find Sten.  Sten and Trubo chat about what happened in the

Goonheim War, and how Sten is still alive after all that just happened.

Trubo ends the conversation on a good note, and tells Sten that he and the

princess will be waiting for him to come back and visit.  Now, Sten won't be

afraid to come back to Highfort anymore.  Leave Highfort with the Famous

Flute in hand.

It would be a terrific idea for you to put Spar and Bow in your current party

at this point in the game.  They're both probably low on levels, compared to

everyone else, and could use some more experience.

Prison Architect Gameplay

Prison Architect Gameplay

Build and Manage A Maximum Security Prison.

Build and manage a Maximum Security Prison. As the sun casts it’s early morning rays on a beautiful patch of countryside the clock starts ticking. You’ve got to crack on and build a holding cell to detain the job lot of maximum security prisoners that are trundling to your future prison on their yellow bus. As your workmen lay the last brick you don’t have a moment to let them rest as they need to get started on the first proper cell block so you can make room for the next prisoner intake. Once they’ve all got a place to lay their weary heads the fun can really start.

You’ll need a canteen, infirmary and a guard room, oh, and don’t forget to plumb in a toilet, or things will get messy, but what about a workout area? Or solitary confinement cells? Or an execution chamber?

Inspired by Dungeon Keeper, Dwarf Fortress and Theme Hospital and with over 1 million players having spent time inside, Prison Architect is the world’s best lock-em-up.

Story Mode

Prison Architect opens with the story of Edward, a man facing the electric chair for committing a crime of passion. This is followed by four additional chapters focusing on different characters and aspects of prison life. From Mafia Dons to power-crazed senators, Prison Architect has them all! To bring these characters to life, Introversion teamed up with award winning professional writer Chris Hastings, producing an enthralling tale of corruption and human misery set against the background of the modern prison industrial complex.

Escape Mode

Finished your supermax? Got guard dogs roving every corridor and prisoners eating out of your hand? Now you can live the horror by firing up escape mode and play as a prisoner hell-bent on getting the hell out of dodge.

Dig a tunnel, go for the armoury or start a riot and slip out in the chaos, it’s entirely up to you! Figure out how to escape from your own creation, or hit the random button and load one of the 12,000 prisons created by the steam community, whichever you choose it’s not going to be easy...

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 Gameplay

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 Gameplay

“A sequel that definitely builds upon the promise shown in its predecessor. A great combination of fantasy adventure and comedy.” - Robin Parker God is a Geek - 8/10

“The Book Of Unwritten Tales 2 is one of the best point and click adventure titles to be released, and stands as an example of what the genre has to offer. I would easily place it in the company of revered adventure titles like Grim Fandango or Tales Of Monkey Island, perhaps even surpassing them as it takes what made those titles great and expands upon them.” – The Sixth Axis - 9/10

About This Game

Legend foretold it. Prophecies predicted it. Chosen ones chose to believe in it. Now the adventure saga continues. A sequel is coming. Join Wilbur, Ivo, Nate and Critter in another classic point-and-click adventure in the wicked world of Aventásia. Help them fulfill their destiny. A destiny as yet unwritten.

The Tale

A few years have passed since our heroes heroically defeated the arch-witch Mortroga. And their lives, like the lives of most people in Aventásia, are still in turmoil. The War of the Two Towers is over, but the wounds it left upon the land are still bleeding.

The gnome Wilbur Weathervane is struggling with his new job as a teacher at the reopened School for Wizardry and Witchcraft. His magic wand is having a mind of its own and an assassination plot against the arch-mage overshadows the first democratic elections in Seastone.

Faced with political intrigues that threaten the delicate balance of peace, Wilbur is in dire need of his old friends. But the elf princess Ivo and the adventurer Nate have, after a brief romantic interlude, gone their separate ways.

Ivo has returned to her gilded cage in the elf kingdom, overprotected by her controlling mother.

Nate along with his trusty companion Critter has been taken prisoner on the flying island of his arch-enemy the Red Pirate.

But fate does not rest. A darkness has fallen upon the land, or rather, a pinkness. A magic force is turning mighty beasts into fluffy plush puppies and towering castles into oversized dollhouses. Every world needs its heroes. However unlikely they may seem.
