Fallout 4 Wreck of the USS Riptide Wasteland Survival Guide  Farming the Wastes



Wreck of the USS Riptide is a wreckage Location in the central area of The Commonwealth. It is located to the North of Diamond City, jammed into the river bridge, and just South of the C.I.T. Ruins.





Layout



The ship wreckage can either be boarded via swimming, jumping off the top of the bridge above, or going down the ramps from the bridge to the ship wrechage. There are enemies on the outside and within the main deck of the ship, all of which run outside when you are spotted. Wooden wreckage that has fallen on the ship act as ramps that lead to the top section.



There are wooden planks on the water that can be walked on to go further away from the boat. The ramps on the ship lead back up to the opposite side of the broken bridge. The lower deck of the wreckage has a Wasteland Survival Guide magazine and a chem box containing health items and ammo. There is also a bed that can be slept on next to the chem box.

When reaching here with Power Armor, be careful not to fall into the water. If you do so, you will need to travel back to shore after sinking to the bottom. If you still want to be in Power Armor when boarding the ship, you can drop onto the ship from above via the broken bridge. Just make sure you land in the right spot to avoid falling into the water.



It is much easier to swim to the ship without Power Armor though, so you can leave it on the shore next to the bridge if you need to. The Raider that has Power Armor can be easily dealt with using strong ranged weapons or explosives.
